St. Augustine

Our next stop was St. Augustine, Florida; just 1.5 hours south of Amelia Island. This portion of the trip was quite different than our trip to Amelia Island (check our trip here & here), but just as much fun & relaxation. It was much more of a touristy town and definitely a city. We were both very impressed with Flagler College. Quite a beautiful site.

Activities were similar, we didn't let anything get in our way: morning coffee & breakfast, reading, beaching, walking, evening happy hours, eating & enjoying one another.

This wasn't as easy to do as it looks!

Do you spy the pregnant lady in this picture?

Me & my daily ice cream cone. This place smelled delightful. I had a hard time choosing between chocolate peanut butter & yogurt peach. I went for the yogurt peach and was very happy with my decision....and not quite as much guilt! Little Omar liked it was well.

Lyle & I had never been to Florida before this trip. Coming from the North West, it never occurred to be a place we would pick to vacation. We were pleasantly surprised and will definitely return....most likely for a trip to NASA...Lyle is itching to go!

Our next and last stop was Savannah, Georgia. We stopped on our way home for a night to stay with some friends who were in town celebrating St. Patrick's Day. Man-o-man, what a sight! I'm not sure we took any pictures of this leg of the trip. I may just leave this to your own imagination.

And our vacation is over.....now on with real life which is about to drastically change!
