Moon River

This is my second attempt at this post as my original version somehow disappeared somehow. Bummer.
Lyle & I were completely spoiled on our little getaway that I mentioned we were taking here. Here's a sneak peak at the early stages. we started out by heading to Amelia Island, Florida and stayed at the Elizabeth Pointe Lodge where we got completely taken care of and lived in luxury (by our standards:). We had gotten a stellar deal on our room to begin with, but then got upgraded as we were on our way down. Would we prefer an ocean front room? But of course!!

We spent the first two days enjoying morning coffee in rocking chairs looking over the beach, bike riding, naps, kite flying, long beach walks, afternoon ice cream, delicious breakfasts, naps, book reading, & quality time with each other (meaning laughs, laughs & more laughs). A great way to start a vacation with my favorite person.

On our first night dinner adventure, Lyle had stumbled across a pizza joint he wanted to try out. We decided we could walk there no problem. And we did. As we arrived we discovered that we were going to be eating right next to a gas station in a strip mall....hmmm....but the place was packed! And for a Monday night, that was a good sign. We were not disappointed. A good cheap meal always makes the tummy happy. We'd go back for sure.

On our way home it was a bit darker than on our trip to the restaurant. Not so bad until I tripped and went stumbling to the ground! Don't worry, I'm fine. Just a skinned knee. We were both more worried about the camera than about me or our little Little.
