Lately.

Hello friends! Long time no see. My fault. Want to know what we've been up to lately? Well, we've been fixing up the backyard and just got back from a super fun first camping trip with Finnley. It was a blast!

First off, here are just some random shots of the boys in the backyard. Then on to our camping trip.

Finn is 11 months now! Whoa. 11 months and the sweetest, most energetic, most fun and adorable little boy around (of course I have to say that, he's my kid). But seriously, he amazes me every day at how adorable I think he is. How did I get so lucky?! This little guy loves most everything. Here's a list to name a few: bananas, apples, lotion bottles, vacuums, brooms, pushing the shopping cart and stroller (seriously, he reaches and grabs for them when they are in sight!), giving kisses on command, the kitties, daddy, bath time, going into rooms he's not supposed to, water bottles, laughing, and playing on the couch. He does not like car rides.

In these pictures he's wearing an old shirt of his daddy's. Isn't it sweet?

This last week we went on a camping trip to Hunting Island. Our friend Lauren joined us for a night. The weather wasn't great beach weather as it usually is this time of year, but we still enjoyed ourselves. It was even so windy that we had to tie our tent to the car and then eventually switched camp sites. Huh. This mom came unprepared for the weather in regards to herself. I guess that can happen when you're trying to pack for two and are more worried about the little one than yourself!

Finn loved camping. He was all smiles the entire trip. There really couldn't be anything better than a tent and sand in his world. He truly amazed us a how easy he was. He slept through the night without any problems and even took a few naps.

Finn's not quite walking yet. He'll take one to two small steps at a time, but he's almost there. I'm surprised he's not since he crawled so very early. But I think he's so comfortable and quick with the crawling that he's not pushing it. He claps, gives high-fives and kisses, and plays little vocal back and forth games with me. Eating is not a problem with this kid either.

Oh, I'm so in love with this little boy. I can't believe he's almost a year old! Tear, tear! He has truly changed our lives for the better.

Happy Campers.
