Life is full of blessing these days. Well actually, I think everyday is truly full of blessings but I'm just now getting slammed in the face with them. Let me count the ways:
1) My parents are here, both Mom & Dad now. It has been so nice to have them for several reasons. Lyle's been super busy working and really has been home very little since we returned from the hospital. It's been so nice to have the company and extra bit of help around the house. They've been helping with driving me places since I'm not allowed to drive for 2 weeks post delivery, starting and folding laundry, cooking, cleaning, doing little handy projects around the house, holding Baby Finn when my arms are tired, encouraging me to take naps, going on little outings, keeping me company, etc. The list goes on & on. Thank you Mom & Dad for coming all the way out here. I'd be so lonely without you!
2) We are all super thankful for our friends around town that stopped by the hospital to visit us. With not having family in town when Finn was born, friends stepped up to fill the role of family. We are so very thankful and feel blessed to have such a great Greenville family. We tried to get pictures of everyone that visited, but missed a few.

3) Friends have been bringing by meals for us and grocery shopping for us. What a blessing this has been! I never was able to imagine in the past how helpful and yummy it is to get home cooked meals delivered for dinner. I've done it for others plenty of times, but until now I didn't ever truly appreciate how beneficial it was. Thank you all!!
4) A wonderful and supportive husband is a blessing that can't go unnoticed! Lye has been 150% awesome. He's done everything from helping to support us through the trials and tribulations of teaching me & Finn to breastfeed (orthopedic surgeon and lactation consultant extraordinaire on the side!), making sure I eat and drink enough, diaper changes with no question, trips to the pediatrician & ER for weight checks, handoffs when the arms need a break....you name it, he's up for it and does it with such grace and a smile on his face despite his lack of sleep these days and still having to perform at work. I can't wait for him to get to spend more quality time with this little guy. Next week can't seem to come fast enough (Lyle's taking vacation. Hip hip hooray!)!
5) I'm tremendously in love with this little peanut. He is such a blessing. I remember praying for Little to come in the last few days before he was born and telling God, "I'm ready for the sleepless nights and exhaustion, please just bring him to us safely and NOW!". I was getting impatient! But honestly I still feel the same way. I love every second of this motherhood adventure so far; even this morning when I couldn't get him to go back to sleep after his 3:00 am feeding and was laying perpendicular across the bed with one arm on his bed to rock him as I was struggling to stay awake. He's still so precious and cute in there!
6) We had friends visit us in the hospital, but we continue to have friends visit us at home. It's a fun time to just hang out and chat. Anyone is welcome over for wine & cheese on the deck with some adorable baby faces included. The weather is perfect for it!
7) The list of blessings goes on & on. I can't stop counting.....but I can only list so many right now...Minnie Finnie is beckoning me...
Finn is taking after his mother....he's found his fingers on occasion. So sweet.
My blessings are pretty obvious, but won't be taken for granted.
What are your blessings as of lately?

P.S. It took me several days to get this post up! I'm moving much slower these days and am easily distracted. I'm sorry for the lack of posts, but will try to keep up as much as I can! Thanks for all of you for checking in and leaving such thoughtful comments. Blog comments mean a lot to me. They let me know people are actually reading and they encourage me to keep up with posts...so keep them coming!
