38 Weeks.

Welcome to a 38 week Bumpdate. It's been a while....I know. Sorry. I just don't feel terribly cute these days so pulling out the camera has been more challenging! But here you have me, make-up free too! We've made it past all the milestones and Little is most definitely full-term now. We are ready to hatch. 

Movement has gone from very active to now seeing elbows and knees protruding out of the belly. The other night we were even able to feel his little forearm pressing against the belly. Pretty cool, especially for a bone guy (aka Dad). 

Can you tell he's dropped a bit?

Work is all in place now with all my needed paperwork ready to go and has really begun to wind down. Now we're just in waiting mode. I've been keeping up with my daily walks in hopes that things will be moving along. I'm getting a little stir crazy. Sometimes I wish I were more of a procrastinator! 

I'm trying to remind myself that it's a good thing for Little to get to stay with me until 40 weeks and to wait patiently. I found this poem a while back off of a Kelly's blog that I read. I remember wanting to remember it when I reached her position. I thought I'd share it with you.

These Last Few Hours

It is important to me that I spend a part
of the new few hours here ~
alone with you in the darkness.

You and I will never be this close again
By morning you will be a tiny person ~
All your own.

No longer the kicking demanding bulge in my body
that I have grown to love so well.

I hope you will be safe on your journey tonight
I ask for strength to help you all I can
