Getting it all together

I'm now posting to a blog as you can see. Since the fall of my facebook page, I decided to find a new way to share our lives while being so far away from our families and friends. Thus, the start of what you are reading.

Moving to Greenville has helped me truly enjoy life. Maybe it's the start of something new, getting married, or simplifying our social lives and being in a smaller town. I'm not completely sure, but I do know a few things: I love being married to Lyle, I love Greenville, South Carolina; I love the smaller town than Seattle feel; I love cooking, decorating, eating, shopping, running, and drinking wine with friends. Maybe I should have said that I know several things. All of these I've been able to cultivate in the last year since we moved to the south (well maybe shopping has decreased, but I still do it now and again). Greenville is such a beautiful part of the country. So much different than the North West's beauty. The people (and their accents) make it stand out as well. God truly had a good time creating this world with great detail in it's diversity and beauty.

Lyle and I recently bought a new house close to the hospital.

It's a darling little two bedroom/bath, with a little office and shed. We've had so much fun enjoying the backyard and watching the cats explore being indoor/outdoor cats. I've been loving the "recreating"/decorating part. Lyle's been very generous with allowing me to be creative and "do my thing". I still have a long way to go. Yesterday I finally painted our bedroom. I did a very light blue to give our room a "dreamy" feel. My hope is to have a pale yellow and shades of blue theme. I found a full length leaning mirror that fits perfectly and opens up the space. I ordered this little floor rug; to give the floors a cozy feel.

Our walls are Behr Cumulus. I'm planning on putting in a headboard for our bed that can be simultaneously a bookshelf and night stand to help utilize the space. There's not much room on either side of the bed. I found this one from Target that I've seen before and love. We'll have to raise it up off the ground though.

Our camera is broken at the moment, otherwise I'd put up pictures. I will do it though! I promise.

The project for today may be to start taping the living room so that I can paint a little tomorrow. We'll see.
